The project: MOnitoring of the STructures of the Strategic Public Building

The Monitoring of Structures of the Strategic Public Building (MOSTspb) starts with IPA Adriatic HOLISTIC project implemented between 2013 and 2016, a stable crossborder collaboration among public institutions of Adriatic Basin areas on the prevention and damages mitigation of forest fire and earthquake natural and man-made risks. It generated knowledge, tools, instruments and procedures in forest fire prevention and in Strategic Public Buildings (SPB) seismic monitoring that the recent (2018-2019) READINESS Interreg Italy-Croatia project aims at valorising to improve their mainstreaming into local, regional, National and European policies.
READINESS approaches the above challenges by adopting and using guidelines, methodologies, best practices and practical results achieved by HOLISTIC project to mitigate the exposure of the population to the impact of forest fire and seismic hazards and to improve the ability of population to accommodate and recover timely and efficiently from the effects of above hazards.
This approach is built on two pillars:
- the development of innovative building seismic monitor procedures and methodologies directly derived from the capitalized project deliverables.
- the improvement of the readiness of Civil Protection and population to react promptly and efficiently to natural and man-made hazard outbreaks.

The Activities (2013-2019) are carried out in the framework of the Convenzione Quadro Regione Marche-INGV.
